Mukto Mashkura
Mukto, a community pharmacist and mother of two, combines her love for art with her family life, finding joy in creating watercolor paintings alongside her boys. She is drawn to watercolor for its unpredictable nature, particularly enjoying the wet-on-wet technique, where colors spontaneously blend to create unique results. Mukto also has a passion for charcoal, captivated by its ability to breathe life into art with just one color.
Teaching art, especially to children, is a source of immense satisfaction for Mukto. She marvels at the creativity children bring to their artwork, making each piece distinctly their own. Her experience as a mother has endowed her with the patience necessary for nurturing young artists, making each session with them rewarding.
Mukto is an active participant in the local art community, exhibiting her work with both the Lane Cove and Drummoyne Art Societies. Her artistic preferences lean towards landscapes, seascapes, and abstracts. She is a firm believer in the therapeutic power of art and encourages everyone, children and adults alike, to engage with painting and experience the transformation of a blank canvas into a vibrant piece of art.
Here are some of her art works. One of my works has been judged “highly commended” in the Drummoyne Art society exhibition in Oct 2024.
